The Alto is once again referred to as the K10 after more than two years; the original K10 was discontinued with the changeover to BS6 emission standards. The third-generation Alto K10 sports a 1.0-litre petrol engine, a larger interior than its predecessor, and a completely new exterior design.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Design

2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 seems more in line with the current Celerio than its predecessor did in terms of design. It is now developed on Maruti's Heartect platform, which supports a variety of models from the Celerio to the Ertiga, and offers significantly more space.

The new Alto K10 is 45mm taller and 85mm longer than the Alto 800 at 3,530mm in length, 1,490mm in width, and 1,520mm in height. Additionally, the wheelbase has increased by 20mm to 2,380mm. The breadth, however, has not changed from the Alto 800.

In comparison to its predecessor, the new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 features a rounder and marginally more upright overall design. The front of the vehicle sports a large swept-back halogen headlamp and a large hexagonal grille that together resemble an emoji laughing.

The front bumper has a few angular creases at the sides and a prominent black trim element at the front even though there are no provisions for fog lights or LED DRLs.

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 sports a few more character lines on the flanks and a more pronounced shoulder line than its before.

The turn signals are still affixed to the front fenders, and the form of the glasshouse hasn't changed significantly.

Additionally, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has lift-up door handles, just like the Celerio. 13-inch steel wheels with plastic wheel covers are standard on the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10.

On the other hand, the rear end design is relatively straightforward and first has a striking resemblance to the Celerio. However, if you pay great attention, you'll see that the taillights are somewhat different and the rear bumper closely resembles the front one in style. Like its predecessor, it continues to be devoid of a back wash/wiper.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Engine

The 1.0-liter, three-cylinder K10C petrol engine from Maruti, which also powers the Celerio and
S-Presso, is now the engine that powers the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10. Its output is 67 horsepower and 89 Nm of peak torque. Either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox is included with the engine.

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 uses less fuel than its predecessor thanks to dual-jet technology and an idle start/stop function. The claimed fuel economy estimates from Maruti are 25.90 kpl for manual cars and 24.90 kpl for automatic ones.
