Exterior And Interior
Based on the Heartect platform, is the new Alto K10. A dramatic honeycomb grille that is matched by bigger, more vivacious headlights draws attention to the fascia. A set of 13-inch steel wheels with honeycomb-inspired covering support the car. Redesigned combo lighting draw attention to the back profile. Six colours, including three new hues, are offered for the hatchback: Solid White, Silky Silver, Granite Grey, Sizzling Red (new), Speedy Blue (new), and Earth Gold (new).
Grey seats with beige accents are standard on the recently released Maruti Suzuki Alto K10. The dashboard has also been updated, and a floating 7-inch SmartPlay studio infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and other SmartPlay Studio apps is included. Furthermore, the car receives premium accentuation for freshness. Front and rear door speakers, a digital speedometer display, switches for the front power windows on the instrument panel, and remote keyless entry are among the features on the feature list.
The Renault Kwid, on the other hand, has a beefier fascia with split headlamps and a three-slat grille that is reminiscent of an SUV. The main headlamp is located in the lower unit, while the turn signals and DRLs are located in the upper unit. Faux skid plates, dramatic bumpers, C-shaped LED tail lights, dual-tone flex alloys, blacked-out B-pillars, and ORVMs in contrast colours are other design highlights. The Kwid is offered in monochromatic hues including Zanskar Blue and Moonlight Silver. Additionally, two new dual-tone colours, including Metal Mustard and Ice Cool white with a black roof, are now offered for the vehicle.
Along with features like an eight-inch touchscreen entertainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and electrically adjustable ORVMs, the Renault Kwid boasts dual-tone seats. The hatchback also includes reverse parking sensors and a camera with instructions, depending on the type.
Engine And Safety
The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10's Next-Gen K-Series 1.0L Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine makes 66 bhp at 5,500 rpm and 89 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm.
Both the five-speed manual and AGS versions of this engine are offered. The AGS version is stated to have a fuel efficiency of 24.90 kmpl, compared to the manual transmission's claimed fuel efficiency of 24.39 kmpl.
Two engine options are available for the Renault Kwid: a 0.8-liter and a 1.0-liter. The former produces 72Nm at 4,386 rpm and 53bhp at 5,678 rpm. The latter generates 91Nm at 4,250 rpm and 67bhp at 5,500 rpm. The five-speed manual transmission is standard on both engines, but the AMT option is only available with the 1.0-liter model. The 0.8-liter engine states it gets 22.25 kmpl according to ARAI.
Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, front belt pre-tensioners and force limiters, speed-sensing auto door locks, and high-speed warning are all features of the new Alto K10.
The Renault Kwid also has similar safety features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, seatbelt reminders, and seat belt Pyrotech.
